Our day begins at 9:30 am with pickup from your hotel, as we embark on a journey to Mustafapaşa, formerly known as Sinasos. This quaint village, once predominantly Greek, still showcases its heritage through beautifully carved facades and exquisite doors. A leisurely walk through the village allows you to appreciate its preserved houses and the stories they tell from a bygone era.
Next, we take a short walk to Keşlik Monastery, where the chapel of St. Michael is adorned with stunning frescoes from the 13th and 14th centuries. Explore the historical baptismal fonts and the grand refectory that highlight the monastery’s significance.
Our journey continues to the village of Cemil, where you’ll discover traditional village houses and the impressive Armenian church, each reflecting unique architectural styles.
We then proceed to Taşkınpasa, where you can admire a 600-year-old Seljuk mosque and an Ottoman seminary with intricate stonework, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich heritage.
Following this, we travel through Şahinefendi village to reach the ancient ruins of Sobesos. This archaeological site boasts Roman mosaics and remnants of both Roman and Christian settlements in Cappadocia.
