Arrival at Istanbul Airport as per your flight schedule. Meet our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Istanbul.
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a classic Istanbul tour, visiting Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar (City Tour). Lunch is included.
Transfer to Istanbul Airport for a flight to Ankara. Explore the renowned Archaeological Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, showcasing prehistoric artifacts from various ancient Anatolian civilizations. Visit Atatürk’s Mausoleum, the monumental tomb of the founder of the Turkish Republic. Continue to Cappadocia, with lunch provided en route.
Optional hot air balloon ride in the morning. After breakfast, embark on a classic Cappadocia excursion. Visit the Göreme Open-Air Museum to see rock-hewn churches from the Byzantine era with well-preserved murals and frescoes. Explore the underground city of Özkonak, a refuge for early Christians. Discover the panoramic valleys of Avcılar, home to some of Cappadocia’s most beautiful fairy chimneys. Lunch is included. Visit a certified jewelry artisan center, the Devrent Valley to see imaginative rock formations, and conclude the day at a state-run cooperative where Turkish carpets are woven. Dinner and accommodation are included. In the evening, the group can optionally participate in Turkish folk dances in a cave.
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Pamukkale, visiting the 12th-century caravanserai built by the Seljuks, which served as a resting point for traders. Explore the famous Mevlana Mausoleum in Konya, a former Quranic school for the Whirling Dervishes. Lunch en route. Accommodation in Pamukkale at a hotel with thermal pools for bathing. Dinner included.
Visit Pamukkale to admire the white petrified cascades and the ruins of the Greco-Roman city of Hierapolis. Continue to Ephesus, visiting the House of the Virgin Mary and the ancient city, including the Roman Theater, Hadrian’s Temple, and the Library of Celsus. Visit a leather exporting factory outlet and end the tour at Izmir Airport. Fly back to Istanbul (flight included) and transfer between the airport and your hotel.
Optional Bosphorus tour, visit Süleymaniye Mosque, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church of St. Stephen, and the Spice Bazaar. Enjoy lunch and a free day for shopping.
